(4) When you installed the software from the Internet Alaska floppy disc, you installed files called MacTCP DNR and MacTCP Prep. These files were preconfigured so
that the information in the window above would appear just as it does. Unless the information in your MacTCP control panel appears different from the information that appears above, DO NOT change anything.
(5) Obtain Address: Unless you have a static IP address, choose "Server". This will all the server will assign an IP address to you each time your log on to Internet Alaska.
(6) Routing Information:identical to the picture. (7) IP Address:identical to the picture. (8) Domain Name Server Information:identical to the picture.
(9) Press OK. (10) Close the MacTCP control panel. (11)
If all information appears correct and/or if information has been changed to the correct information, then you have completed the configuration of the MacTCP control panel. (12)
Close the window on your screen by pressing the OK button. (13) Close the MacTCP control panel. (14) You have now completed the configuration requirements for MacTCP. (15) You will be prompted to RESTART your computer for the MacTCP changes to take effect. If you receive this prompt, follow suit immediately and wait for the computer to restart. (16)
You should now be able to connect to the Internet by opening the Config PPP control panel and pressing the "Open" button. |
