Internet Explorer doesn't have an integrated mail program. Instead, it uses Outlook Express in concert with Explorer to provide a unified interface to Internet browsing, mail and news.
To verify your mail settings in Outlook Express, launch the program with a double click.
Once the application is launched, use the Tools menu to choose Accounts.
The Accounts dialog holds all the information for configuring Outlook to connect to our mail servers. Follow the screenshots below to verify your configuration is correct.
If you don't have a account listed, choose Add. Otherwise, click on your connection and then click Properties.
ALT="Outlook"
Select the General tab and enter your name and e-mail address as shown below.
Next, click on the Servers tab and match your configuration to the screenshot below. Make sure your username is in all lowercase, and your password is typed in case-sensitivly (no CAPS LOCK).
Under the Servers tab, enter our mail server and your username and password.
The last tab you'll need to check is Connection. This tab specifies how Outlook will connect and which Dial-Up Connection it will use.
Match your Connection tab to this screenshot.
Click OK to save your Account information. Outlook will now be able to send and receive mail to your Internet Alaska account.
