To access the mail settings for Netscape 4.0x click on the Edit menu and choose Preferences.

Click on the arrow next to Mail and Groups.

Click on Identity, and enter your name and email as shown in the following screen:

Now click on Mail servers, make sure your settings match the following screen:

• The Mail server username is your username, the first part of your email address.
• Outgoing mail server: mail.alaska.net
• Incoming mail server: pop.alaska.net
• Mail server type is POP3.
• There should not be a check next to leave messages on server after retrieval.
